“Fortune cookie leads to win””
A North Carolina man said the message inside a fortune cookie inspired him to buy the lottery ticket that earned him a $200,000 prize.
John Carter said he was eating Chinese food and received a fortune cookie that said: Don’t miss out on your chance to win big.
“I was thinking the fortune cookie was a sign,” Carter said. “It had to be fate.”
Carter bought a ticket and was shocked as he scratched off the $200,000 prize, or about 7 million baht.
“I thought, ‘This has got to be a dream’,” he said.
Carter said he plans to pay off some bills and buy a boat for fishing.
