“Island for sale includes ghosts”
A six-acre island off the English coast has been put up for sale.
It includes a private beach, old buildings that can be turned into a hotel – as well as a dozen or so ghosts.
Drake’s Island was used as a military defence for hundreds of years, with 18th-century cannons still in position.
“It has over 2,000 years of history,” current owner and local businessman Morgan Phillips says.
Mr Phillips bought the island in 2019. Now it is up for sale, but Mr Phillips says you will not be alone if you buy the island.
He says there are 15 resident ghosts – all former military men.
But the ghosts are not scary, he says.
“They are here to protect us. That’s what they did when they were alive and that’s what they’re still doing!”
