“First-time lottery player wins 5 million baht”
A North Carolina woman decided to buy her first-ever lottery ticket and ended up winning $150,000.
North Carolina resident Sydney Davis said she went to the local store to buy her first-ever Powerball ticket.
The ticket matched four white balls and the red Powerball in Wednesday’s drawing, earning her $150,000 or about five million baht.
“I couldn’t believe it,” she recalled. “I had never even done that before.”
Davis said she was especially shocked because it was her first time playing Powerball.
“Something like this just doesn’t happen,” Davis said. “We all hardly slept that night after that.”
The first-time player said her prize money will go into savings.
