“Dog returns after 9 years”
A dog who went missing in Las Vegas in 2016 was located nearly nine years later in a Utah animal shelter.
Police said the canine was reported lost in 2016, and her whereabouts were unknown until she recently showed up at the St. George Animal Shelter and was scanned for a microchip.
Police discovered the dog had been in many different homes after going missing.
“Eventually, she made her way to a family in St. George and she’s been there for the past 8 years. The family had no idea she belonged to someone who missed her,” police said.
The dog’s original owner was contacted, but they decided to leave the dog with its current owner.
