“Whale tries to swallow man”
A father and son kayaking off the coast of Chile shared a video of what appears to show a humpback whale briefly scooping the son into its mouth.
Adrián Simancas was kayaking when the whale suddenly surfaced and engulfed him.
“I thought it had already eaten and swallowed me,” he said. ” I thought I had died.”
His father, Dell, happened to be filming at the time and caught the whole incident on camera.
Dell’s video shows the whale leaping up, then disappearing underwater with Simancas and his yellow kayak.
After a few seconds, both the kayak and his son bobbed back to the surface.
Researchers say humpback whales feed by quickly swimming through a school of fish with their mouths wide open.Humans are too big for them to swallow.
