“Chicken lays massive egg”
A chicken in Devon, England, has surprised everybody by laying an egg three times the normal size.
The monster egg weighed 175g – three times the 50g ones the chicken usually produces.
The chicken’s name is Gail, and her owners say Gail took more than five hours to lay the egg.
And when its owner ultimately cracked open the massive egg he made a surprising discovery.
Gail’s humongous egg actually contained a second egg inside its shell.
A medium-size egg is 50 g, while an extra-large egg weighs 64 grams.
