“Beer tester sues brewery”
It’s a job many beer drinkers would love, but for one employee, the job turned out to be a nightmare.
A man employed as a beer tester decided to sue the Ambev brewery in Argentina that employed him.
The man, whose name was not revealed, had to drink up to four litres of beer a day to determine the quality of the beer.
At first there wasn’t a problem but then his dream position soon became a major problem.
The employee claimed his work turned him into an alcoholic.
His job was to test the taste and quality of the beer, and he now believes this pushed him to develop an alcohol dependency.
The company disputed his claims. It said that small sip of beer was required to test the beer, and it never implied master brewers should drink large amounts of the drink.
In the end Ambev won the case.
