“Nude bowling held in Pittsburgh”
A man was arrested at Suvarnabhumi Airport as he tried to smuggle three pythons out of the country in his underwear.
Police said the Sri Lankan man, identified only as “Shenan”, arrived in Bangkok last Tuesday from Sri Lanka.
On Wednesday he returned to the airport to catch a plane home, but he was detained by customs officials.
During a body search, however, they discovered three pythons, a protected species, concealed in his underwear.
Police say it’s not the first time Shenan has smuggled protected animals out of the country.
They say he’s been involved in the trafficking of various wildlife species including wolves, sugar gliders, hedgehogs, frogs and turtles.
