“Frogs and frogs”
A woman in Georgia got a surprise when she opened her mailbox to find it full of frogs.
More than 30 tree frogs had taken up residence inside her mailbox amid the bills and advertisements.
The amphibian invasion came after a period of heavy rain, which may have driven the frogs to seek shelter in the dry, dark mailbox.
“Every time I’d open it, a few more would jump out,” said the homeowner.
Wildlife experts say tree frogs often seek out moist hiding spots, and rural mailboxes are frequently targeted.
The woman says she carefully relocated the frogs to a nearby pond, but not before snapping a few pictures and sharing the unusual event on social media.
