“Lottery winner gets 56 billion baht”
Someone in America won the lottery on Christmas Eve … the equivalent of 56 billion baht.
A single Powerball ticket hit the $1.817 billion jackpot, the second largest lottery prize ever won in the United States.
The ticket was sold in Arkansas.
Matt Strawn from Powerball said: “This is truly an extraordinary, life-changing prize.” The winner will have the choice to receive the full amount or spread it out over time.
After taxes, the lump sum payment would be $840 million or 26 billion baht. The largest jackpot in history remains a $2.04 billion prize that was won by a ticket sold in California in 2022.
