“Where’s the giraffe?”
A three-year-old giraffe named Gracie went missing for nearly two weeks after escaping from her enclosure at a Texas zoo.
Cedar Hollow Ranch said Gracie disappeared after drinking water from a lagoon near the perimeter of the zoo.
The zoo sent up helicopters, put out a $5,000 reward, and the county’s 2,700 residents were all put on alert to look out for a missing giraffe.
Gracie was finally spotted from the air last Friday, about 6 km from the zoo, standing near a pond.
She was healthy, and has since returned to the zoo.
Police admitted it was the first case of a missing giraffe.
