“Workers strike gold!”
An 18-year-old construction worker in Belgium this week uncovered a huge stash of gold worth $10.4 million — or about 340 million baht.
He found the gold while building a new sewer below a former brewery.
The worker, named Kobe, said at first he thought the gold pieces were 1 Euro coins.
But rather than pocketing the huge haul, he called police.
Police placed the gold in a high-security federal government vault.
Kobe and his fellow construction workers don’t get to keep the gold. Under Belgian law, the owner has the right to claim the gold within five years.
