“Phone underwater for 10 months still works”
An iPhone lost in a British river during a bachelor party was returned to its owner after being found in the water 10 months later — and it still worked.
Miguel Pacheco said he found the iPhone in the water while canoeing with his family this month in the River Wye, and he took the device home to dry it out.
Then he plugged it into a charger … and it turned on. Pacheco posted photos of the phone and in the end the owner came forward.
Owain Davies of Scotland said he had been canoeing as part of a bachelor party on the River Wye when he fell into the water. “
The phone was in my back pocket and as soon as it was in the water I realized the phone was gone,” he said.
