“Alligator discovered inside suitcase at airport”
A live alligator was found in an American man’s suitcase at a German airport last month.
The one-metre-long albino alligator was detected at a Munich Airport security X-ray machine.
Custom officials found the alligator wrapped in cling film when they opened the suitcase.
The alligator was completely wrapped except for its nostrils. The rare reptile’s health was in poor condition at the time, but the alligator is in better shape now after receiving care from animal keepers.
The 42-year old American man who owned the suitcase, and was traveling to Singapore, has been arrested by police.
