“Man tries to carry 3-metre snake onto plane”
Customs officers got a shock when checking a plane passenger’s carry-on luggage and discovering a massive Burmese python.
The suspect, a man, was going through security at Tashkent airport in Uzbekistan when he was asked to open his carry-on luggage.
He unzipped the bag and revealed the three-metre long snake curled up asleep inside it.
The man was promptly arrested.
It’s believed the snake is a tiger albino python, which is native to Southeast Asia.
The man told customs officials he thought it was okay to have a snake in his carry-on luggage.
‘An investigation is currently underway by customs authorities. The snake has been handed over to the Tashkent Zoo.
