“He’s a tall teen”
Canadian teenager Oliver Rioux says he is stopped dozens of times a day and asked for a selfie.
That’s because Oliver is 2.4 metres tall, making him the world’s tallest teenager.
Oliver is a student at the University of Florida, in the United States, and is on the university basketball team, the Gators.
“I get asked questions every day when I’m outside,” said Oliver.
His best friend, Micah Handlogten, is 216 cm, but he says Oliver gets all the attention when they go out.
“People used to ask me, ‘You’re so tall. Do you play basketball?’ No one says a word to me now. Everyone just looks to him.”
Oliver says he welcomes the stares, the questions and all the requests.
“You just get used to it. Talking to people is nice because they are curious, and you can’t change that.”
