“Man, upset over football loss, feels better when he wins lottery”
A Michigan man who was upset his football team had lost says he felt much better when he won $500,000 in the lottery on the same day.
The man, who was not named, said his day took a nosedive when his favorite team, the Detroit Lions, lost, but quickly improved when he won a $500,000 lottery prize.
“I bought the ticket on the day of the Lions’ playoff game,” he said. “Of course, everyone knows how the Lions game went but scanning the ticket and seeing I won $500,000 took some of the sting away!”
The winner said he already has some ideas for his prize money that should further improve his mood.
“It still doesn’t feel real that I won, but I am very excited to be able to help family and then tuck some money away for myself,” he said.
