“British man buys his own car back”
A British man who paid nearly 900,000 baht to replace his stolen car later discovered he had unknowingly bought his own vehicle back.
Ewan Valentine, 36, from England, said his black 2016 Honda Civic was stolen in February.
He said he was distraught about the loss and hoped to replace the car with a nearly-identical vehicle.
” I found one for sale. Same color, same year, same custom exhaust system,” he wrote on social media.
So he bought it — then he noticed things that were similar to his stolen car.
Officials later confirmed the vehicle was his own stolen car.
The car is currently being investigated by police for forensic evidence.
