“American sues Thai restaurant”
A California doctor is suing a Thai restaurant in Los Gatos after she was served a dish that she claims was way too spicy and permanently harmed her.
Dr. Harjasleen Walia is suing over Coup de Thai’s Dragon Balls dish.
Walia has claimed that the dish burned her vocal cords, esophagus and the inside of her right nostril. The doctor also said she lost her voice.
The dish appears to be a form of deep-fried chicken larb with Thai chili, or bird’s eye chili.
Coup de Thai has denied causing any harm.
A restaurant representative said that no one else required medical attention due to the restaurant’s food.
