“Human washing machine goes on sale”
A Japanese electronics company has revealed a human washing machine that will go on sale early 2026.
A demonstration unit of the Mirai Human Washing Machine will be displayed in a Tokyo store from Christmas Day.
The user must climb into the 2.3-metre-long machine, then a door shuts and the tub automatically fills with warm water.
Users are washed with microscopic bubbles, removing dirt without the need for movement.
It takes 15 minutes for users to be washed and dried by the machine.
A company spokesperson says the machine ‘not only washes your body but also your soul’ and monitors your heartbeat.
And your heartbeat may quicken when you see the price tag — it costs nearly £300,000, or about 13 million baht.
