“Man has 42 teeth”
A Malaysian man is being recognized by Guinness World Records for his mouth filled with 42 teeth.
That’s 10 more than the average person.
And dentists have more surprising news for the man — he has two more teeth that have yet to emerge.
Prathab Muniandy, 33, said he first thought something was unusual about his teeth a few years ago.
“I first noticed this in 2021 during a family tea-time gathering, so we counted them together and found that I had 38 teeth at the time. A dental X-ray later showed that there were four more teeth that had yet to erupt. By early 2023, I realized that I had a total of 42 teeth.”
Muniandy said his extra teeth don’t cause him any trouble, and most people don’t even notice until he mentions it.
