“Google Maps Sends Drivers the Wrong Way for Days”
Residents of a one-way street in Toronto are furious at Google Maps — because it kept sending drivers down the street in the wrong direction.
Residents of Winona Drive weren’t happy when the cars started driving down the street the wrong way, so they contacted the local government.
That was Wednesday last week. The local government contacted Google Maps, but still the drivers kept going the wrong way.
In the end the government had to put up a temporary sign saying “Do Not Enter”.
Google Maps rectified the problem last Monday, five days after the glitch first occurred.
While things have returned to normal, the local government reminded drivers not to trust Google Maps completely.
