“Pizza for 1,800 baht a slice”
A Philadelphia pizza parlor has just started selling slices of pizza for $55 each.
That’s equal to 1,800 baht per slice.
Normally a slice of pizza at the restaurant goes for $5, or about 160 baht.
The special pizza from Marina’s Pizza Co. has caviar, a gold plate and a mother-of-pearl spoon visitors get to keep (the plate stays at the restaurant).
The ‘Caviar Pizza’ is a large white slice with a blend of imported Italian cheeses.
The announcement has been greeted with mostly positive reactions, with people saying they will definitely drop into the restaurant to try it.
But you can only eat the slice in the restaurant and for a limited time. There are no takeaways.
