“Deer on the roof!”
Firefighters in Oregon have rescued a deer from the top of a roof — and now the question is, how did it get there?
On July 4, a firefighter in Astoria rescued the fawn after it somehow got stuck on top of a home and needed assistance getting down.
“This certainly doesn’t happen every day, but somehow this young deer got onto a roof and needed a little help,” Astoria Firefighters said in a Facebook post.
The deer had been on the roof for approximately one hour.
The rescuer used a roof ladder to scale the residence and scoop up the stranded creature.
Then they moved the fawn to the ground where it was reunited with its waiting mother.
Afterward, the two deer “both walked off together.”
