“Cheese balls cause traffic jam”
Rush-hour traffic on a busy freeway near Los Angeles ground to a halt when a pickup truck lost an entire pallet of cheese ball snacks.
Around 120 big containers of cheese balls spilled across the freeway.
But the problem wasn’t just the mess.
Drivers noticing the cheese balls stopped to grab them.
Instead of waiting for cleanup crews, drivers stopped their cars in the middle of traffic to jump out and grab undamaged containers of cheese balls for themselves.
Highway patrol officers said this behavior caused even more delays, as officers had to manage both the mess and the theft of cheese balls.
Eventually, crews cleared the road and traffic returned to normal.
