“Dead body was just Prince Charming“
Police were called out to what looked like a dead body rolled up on a carpet on the motorway.
The person who called police was naturally concerned when they saw a pair of feet in black trainers and socks dangling over the front headrest of another car while driving on the motorway on Saturday afternoon.
But when officers responded, they found that they actually belonged to a cut-out model of Prince Charming on his way to a themed birthday party.
Police brought the car to a stop in Ely, Cambridgeshire, and they soon realised it was a false alarm, and that the trainers belonged to a mannequin.
