Biggs Story EP.405: เข็นคนตายมากู้เงินแบงก์

“Woman tries to get dead man to sign loan”

A Brazilian woman has been arrested after taking a dead man into a bank in a wheelchair and trying to get him to sign for a loan in her name worth almost 100,000 baht.

Suspicious bank staff started filming the pair and ended up calling for an ambulance and police as she used her hand to keep the deceased pensioner’s head upright and told him: ‘Uncle, are you listening? You have to sign it. I can’t sign for you.’

Police confirmed Paulo Braga, 68, had passed away a few hours earlier when they reached the bank branch in Rio de Janeiro.

The woman Erika de Souza Vieira Nunes, said she was his niece as well as his carer.

In the video clip, Erika tries to get the dead man to hold a pen to sign a piece of paper.

The bank officer said: ‘I don’t think this is legal. He doesn’t look well. He’s very pale.’

Erika was arrested and later confessed that her uncle was already dead when she wheeled him into the bank.
